Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in architectural engineering or a closely related field (minimum sophomore year preferred for internships, full-time enrollment for co-ops)
  • Strong academic performance with a focus on architectural engineering coursework (e.g., building systems, structural analysis)
  • Working knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software (Revit or similar) (a plus)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar 2D drafting software
  • Excellent understanding of architectural design principles and construction methods
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior architectural engineers with various tasks throughout the design and documentation process for residential projects.
  • Gain exposure to different phases of residential construction, including space planning, code compliance, and materials selection.
  • Potentially participate in the creation of 3D BIM models and construction documents (drawings, specifications).
  • Assist with construction site visits and observe quality control procedures (as applicable).
  • Contribute to the development and presentation of design ideas (depending on experience).
