Animal Care Volunteer

• Programs typically start at an affordable rate, though the exact cost may vary depending on program length. You can expect a range of $385 (minimum advertised price on the IVHQ website) and upwards for a week-long program.
• This fee is all-inclusive, covering essentials like airport pickup upon arrival in Cordoba (may vary depending on arrival at the airport), orientation, accommodation (often shared volunteer housing), most meals (breakfast and dinner are common), and 24/7 in-country support throughout your stay.

Requirements:

• Applicants must be 16 years of age or older (volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian).
• Prior experience with animals is welcomed but not mandatory.
• A strong passion for animal welfare, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude are essential.
• Volunteer tasks may involve cleaning enclosures, feeding animals, socializing them through play, and potentially assisting with basic medical procedures under professional supervision.
• A moderate level of physical fitness is helpful for these activities.
• Basic English communication skills are necessary.
• Spanish language skills can be beneficial for interacting with local staff and potentially even animals who have been abandoned by Spanish-speaking owners.
