Education & Qualifications Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in administrative services, finance, accounting, audit, human resources, or related areas is required. The minimum year of relevant experience is reduced to three (3) for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher.
- Experience within the United Nations common system or other international organizations is desirable.
- Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is desirable.
Languages:
- Fluency in English and French (both oral and written) is required.
Key Responsibilities and Career Opportunities:
- Monitoring disbursements, commitments, and budget allocations for projects.
- Reviewing project documents and UNEP materials for gender mainstreaming requirements.
- Conducting detailed human rights analyses through surveys or interviews.
- Collecting sex-disaggregated baseline data for monitoring potential gender impacts.
- Integrating relevant gender components from the plan of action for gender mainstreaming into project activities.
