Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accounting or related area bachelor’s degree program.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- A genuine interest in non-profit organizations and a desire to give back to the community (a plus).
Responsibilities:
(Responsibilities may vary depending on specific projects and supervisor needs, but may include):
- Assist with various accounting tasks, such as accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Gain exposure to budgeting, financial reporting, and grant management processes. (May vary)
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing procedures under the guidance of experienced staff.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax reporting (may vary by location).
- Develop and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
