Scholarship Details

The Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Postgraduate Scholarships at Western Sydney University 2024 is offered by Western Sydney University to international students who are starting a new academic program in 2024. The scholarship provides partial funding of 50% tuition fee waiver for successful applicants¹.

Application period:
Separate scholarship applications are not necessary as eligibility is automatically assessed with your Western applications. Only a limited number of scholarships are available for each course and therefore they are open until filled.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Excellence Postgraduate Scholarships at Western Sydney University 2024, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Applicants cannot be citizens of Australia, New Zealand, or permanent residents of Australia; they must be international students. The scholarship will end if, during the study time, your visa status changes to one of these.
• The applicants have to be starting a new academic program in 2024.
• Candidates need to have gotten an offer of admission from Western Sydney University.
• The applicant’s most recent undergraduate degree must have been completed with a minimum GPA of 5.95 on a 7-point scale, or the equivalent, to be eligible for the award.
• Candidates must accept their admission offer by the acceptance deadline and fulfill any additional admission requirements listed in the offer letter.
• A full application must be submitted by the applicant at least two months before the start of the session.
• Non-Eligible courses: High research courses and Master of Nursing

Value of the Scholarship

Successful applicants will receive fifty percent (50%) of the tuition price per session for full-time enrollment for a maximum of two years of study. The scholarship only waives the tuition; it does not pay for living expenses, housing, or transportation.
