The scholarship is provided by the American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD). The AAHD Scholarship Program 2024 is the name of the scholarship. The award is intended for students pursuing master’s and bachelor’s degrees in the area of health and disability. The award is available to US citizens and permanent residents who meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and have a handicap. The scholarship has a USD 1,000 value.
Applications must be submitted by March 1, 2024.
Requirements:
- The candidate has to be studying health and disability-related subjects.
- The candidate must be starting their second year of undergraduate studies or registering for graduate courses at a recognized university on a full- or part-time basis.
- Students having a history of voluntary work and/or community service, as well as those majoring in public health, disability studies, health promotion, or a similar discipline, will be given precedence.
- Two recommendation letters, an authentic college transcript sealed in an envelope and delivered to AAHD, a specialist’s documentation of the handicap, and a 200-word personal statement are required of applicants.
