Education & Qualifications Requirements:
Education:
- Master’s degree in engineering.
- Master’s degree in social sciences and engineering.
- University degree in chemistry or natural sciences.
Work Experiences:
- Work Experience in environmental protection, waste management and chemical waste destruction.
- Work Experience in working in Multilateral Environmental Agreements.
- Experience in implementation of technical cooperation / development projects.
- Experience in developing and implementing capacity building programmes.
- Work Experience in working with government institutions and international or non-governmental organizations supporting gender.
Languages:
- Fluency in English language is Required (both oral and written).
- Have a Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) both oral and written.
Key Responsibilities Career:
- Responsible for providing expert support to the Project Team.
- Responsible for reviewing project document and relevant UNIDO documents on the requirements for gender mainstreaming.
- Responsible for developing the draft National Waste Management Strategy.
- Responsible for collecting sex disaggregated baseline data that could be used to monitor potential gender impacts.
- Responsible for developing the recommendations and proposals for the new ODS and POPs.
