Kofi Annan Global Health Leadership Program 2024 (Fully Funded)
Summary:
The Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) – Kofi Annan Global Health Leadership Program was launched by the African Union Commission in partnership with the Kofi Annan Foundation. This program aims to develop senior public health professionals from African Union Member States who will lead the implementation of a new public health order in Africa and mentor the next generation of public health leaders. The fellowship has already graduated 39 Fellows from over 20 AU Member States and is currently training 20 more. Fellows receive support for learning materials, travel, daily allowance, and insurance during residential placements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
– Citizens of African Union Member States
– Postgraduate degree in a relevant field of public health
– Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in any field of public health
– Full-time employment in a public or private institution in Africa
– Strong track record or potential for effective public health leadership
Date and Location:
The launch of the program took place on 25 May 2020. The African Union Headquarters are located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
