Human Rights Officer Volunteer

Onsite Human Rights Officer Volunteer with UNMIK at Kosovo

Summary:

This opportunity is open for all nationalities who are aged between 18 to 80 and in the Human Rights field at Kosovo. The volunteer is expected to start at 01/08/2024 and expected to end at 30/06/2025. The volunteer’s tasks include gathering information and reports on the human rights situation in the area of responsibility, including through close collaboration with other United Nations entities, civil society and the communities as well as drafting a variety of reports, briefings and other types of documents relating to human rights…etc.

Location:

The assignment will be at Mitrovica, Kosovo.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Human Rights (International Human Rights Law, Political Science or related fields).
  • 3 years of experience in Human Rights, Political Affairs, Rule of Law or International Law.
  • Experience in human rights monitoring and reporting is required.
  • Experience in working in a United Nations common system field operation (inclusive of peacekeeping, political missions and UN agencies, funds, and programmes)-or similar international organization or non-governmental organization-in a post-conflict setting is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is required.
