Marketing Internship Opportunity

Do you have a passion for creating engaging content and a desire to make a positive impact on your community? The Gurnee Park District is seeking a Marketing Intern to join our team. In this role, you’ll gain valuable experience in the park and recreation industry while supporting our mission to provide enriching programs, events, and facilities for Gurnee residents of all ages.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a marketing, communications, or related degree program
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
• Experience with graphic design software (a plus)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Enthusiasm for parks and recreation and a desire to serve the community

Responsibilities:

• Assist with developing and implementing marketing campaigns for programs, events, and initiatives
• Create engaging social media content (posts, stories, etc.)
• Update and maintain website content
• Develop flyers, posters, and other marketing materials
• Conduct market research and track campaign performance
• Assist with special events as needed
