Engineering Intern at Fender Musical Instruments Corporation

In this role, you’ll gain firsthand experience working on iconic musical instruments alongside industry professionals. You’ll be involved in various engineering projects, assisting with design, development, and testing of new and existing Fender products. Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical, industrial)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials science (a plus)
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for music and musical instruments
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • General knowledge of woodworking is a plus
  • Spanish language fluency is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineering staff with design projects for new and existing Fender products
  • Conduct research and testing on materials, components, and prototypes
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas
  • Draft technical documents and reports
  • May assist with product maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and innovations
