Pharmacy Internship Opportunity

This per diem, flex position offers a chance for pharmacy interns to gain valuable experience in an outpatient setting at Memorial Healthcare System (MHS). Working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will contribute to medication management, assist with patient care, and gain experience in various pharmacy technician tasks. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced healthcare environment while working a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a pharmacy intern program accredited by ACPE (American Council on Pharmaceutical Education)
• Valid intern license for the state where the position is located (typically required in the second year of pharmacy school)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, filling, dispensing, and labeling medications
• Manage medication inventory and supplies
• Maintain accurate patient medication histories
• Provide medication education and drug information to patients under pharmacist supervision
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding medication needs
• May assist with staff training and internal/external customer service
• May administer immunizations if qualified and designated as an immunizer
