This internship immerses you in the exciting world of mechanical engineering for the semiconductor industry. You’ll collaborate with the Mechanical Test and Automation Engineering team, contributing to the development and implementation of innovative testing solutions for cutting-edge technologies.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, computer science or mechatronics program.
- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles (mechanics of materials, statics, dynamics).
- Prior experience with automation concepts (robotics, mechatronics) is a plus.
- Proficiency in using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Knowlege of automation for software or hardware.
- Familiarity with common manufacturing and design processes such as: sheet metal, plastic injection molding, machining, die casting, cold forming, etc. is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a knack for creative solutions.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting engineers with the design, development, and testing of mechanical test fixtures and automation systems.
- Performing simulations and calculations to validate the functionality and performance of test systems.
- Contributing to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with existing test equipment.
- Participating in data collection and analysis tasks to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of testing processes.
- Working collaboratively with other interns, engineers, and technicians.
