About the Internship:
This internship opportunity is specifically designed for students who are currently enrolled in a Master’s or MBA degree program, with an expected graduation in 2025, depending on their program and unique circumstances.
The role of a Customer Engineer Intern at Google is crucial in encouraging businesses to adopt the advantages of cloud technologies. The intern will serve as a trusted advisor, assisting companies in their selection of Google Cloud and providing guidance on their future architecture and operations. By working closely with their mentor, the intern will collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to stay updated on industry trends and work alongside engineering teams to contribute to the development of enhancements and prioritize customer feature requests for Google Cloud products.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The candidate must be currently enrolled in a Master’s or MBA degree program in a technical field or possess equivalent practical experience.
- They should maintain student status throughout the duration of the internship.
- Additionally, they should have experience in web technologies and programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, SQL, or possess experience in infrastructure/system administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates with experience in customer service or leadership roles (e.g., coursework, internships, extra-curricular activities, etc.) are preferred.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform products, specializing in App Development, Infrastructure, and Databases/Data Analytics, is also desirable.
- The candidate should be available to complete a 10–14-week internship at the designated office during the summer of 2024.
- Furthermore, they should have the ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new and emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
- Strong problem-solving skills are highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, address key technical objections raised by customers, and devise strategies to overcome technical obstacles during transactions.
- Work together with customer engineers to handle the technical aspects of solutions, including supporting bid responses, conducting product/solution briefings, performing proof-of-concept work, and coordinating the involvement of supporting technical resources.
- Utilize Google Cloud Platform products to demonstrate and create prototypes of integrations.
