Pharmacist Internship

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy program
• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications to inpatients and outpatients
• Prepare and distribute medications, including unit dose cassettes, IV solutions, and controlled substances (under direct supervision)
• Review and interpret prescriptions for accuracy and potential interactions.
• Gather patient medication histories and communicate with physicians regarding medication-related questions (under pharmacist supervision)
• May participate in patient medication counseling activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations
