Qualification:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering, Safety, or a related field, or equivalent educational background.
- Familiarity with hazard assessments and their importance in ensuring workplace safety.
- Good problem-solving skills and creative approach to new ideas.
- Motivation and great attitude.
- Math skills/High level of accuracy.
- Excellent oral, listening, and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and plan effectively.
- Proficiency working with AutoCAD and 3D modeling software.
- A high level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- Customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to present and interact with large groups.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and manage workload independently.
- Be enrolled in post-high school education for the Fall 2024 semester.
- Minimum of 1 completed year in related field (preferred).
- Be considered a full-time student (12 credits or more).
- Be 18 years or older.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the safety department to schedule hazard assessments.
- Take charge of leading meetings with production and maintenance workers to conduct hazard assessments.
- Document assessment data using Excel.
- Analyze the data and categorize it based on risk levels.
- Provide assistance for improvement projects associated with hazard assessments.
- Recalculate assessment totals upon project completion.
- Respond to Plant Safety Projects/Opportunities as directed by the Safety Manager.
- Support maintenance projects and installations.
- Apply knowledge of industrial processes, chemistry, physics, psychology, safety laws, and industrial health to achieve optimal results.
- Determine the requirements for safety devices and device installations, among other tasks.

The internship will be conducted in Marinette, Wisconsin, United States.
