Education & Qualifications Requirements:
Education:
- PhD’s degree Artificial Intelligence and Remote sensing.
- University degree in Economics / Physics and Earth observation.
- Academic background in environmental engineering.
- Academic background in remote sensing / climate adaptation.
Work Experiences:
- Full experience in emote sensing / atmospheric physics / modelling and programming.
- Full work experience in modelling skills with excellent command of Matlab and Python.
- Full experience in working with United Nations system.
- Professional experience in command of remote sensing and Google Earth Engine and statistical methods.
Languages:
- Fluency in English language is Required (both oral and written).
- Have a Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable (Germany ,French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) both oral and written.
Key Responsibilities Career:
- Full skill in leading the AI and programming “including disaster modelling and remote sensing” engagements.
- The ability for coordinating modeling efforts for the climate risk analytics team.
- Full skill in coordinating the modellers’ team and other project management tasks.
- Ability to ensure quality control of project deliverables as well as provide technical guidance.
- Responsible for coordinating efforts with ICT Division and other relevant IT stakeholders.
