Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in the final year of a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program
- Valid intern license in the state of practice (required upon hire)
- Strong academic record in pharmacy coursework
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and patient safety
- Proficient in pharmacy software and technology (experience with specific systems a plus)
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications under direct supervision
- Obtain and verify patient medication information
- Participate in medication counseling sessions with patients (as allowed by state regulations)
- Prepare and maintain medication profiles
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of medications
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients with prescription and medication inquiries
- May participate in immunizations (if certified and following state regulations)
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment
