Netflix seeking an intern for the role of Technical Program Manager within the Platform Engineering organization. This position will primarily involve managing large cross-functional programs that have a significant impact on various engineering teams at Netflix. The successful candidate will work closely with product management, engineering managers, and other technical program managers to effectively execute and align on these programs.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in either a technical or non-technical field, with an expected graduation date around December 2024 or Spring/Summer 2025.
- Possesses a wide range of technical skills spanning various technologies, with practical experience in coding and contributing to open-source projects.
- Demonstrates basic to intermediate proficiency in at least two of the following languages: Python, Java, or Node.
- Exhibits strong capabilities in data analysis, including proficiency in SQL and database querying, as well as proficiency in data visualization using tools like Tableau.
- Possesses foundational knowledge in semantic search and generative AI.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships, collaborate effectively, and build partnerships across different teams and functions.
Preferred skills and proficiencies:
- Display a keen interest in collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams to establish technical strategies and define requirements.
- Possess a penchant for managing programs that involve various components, including people, needs, and technologies.
- Demonstrate a strong inclination to learn how to identify gaps in solutions, engage in technical debates, and make informed decisions regarding product and technology tradeoffs.
- Willingness to engage in hands-on work, such as pulling and analyzing data, troubleshooting issues, and monitoring system performance.
- Exhibit a data-driven mindset when making decisions, relying on data analysis and insights.
- Possess a functional understanding and expertise in specific technical domains.
