Full-Time On-Site Internship in Advanced Finance and Data Science Intern

Intern candidates applying for our program can anticipate a comprehensive full-time on-site experience scheduled from May 30, 2024, to August 9, 2024. This internship opportunity is available in Milwaukee, WI. Those interns who relocate for the summer program will be eligible for reimbursement of round-trip airline or train travel expenses, as well as mileage, in accordance with the company’s relocation policy. Additionally, Northwestern Mutual will provide housing for the duration of the summer internship program.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a master’s degree or PhD in Finance, Financial Engineering, Financial Mathematics, Quantitative Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Demonstrated eagerness to expand knowledge beyond the academic curriculum.
- Proficient in working with Excel spreadsheets and models.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, MATLAB, or other relevant languages.
- Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a solid foundation in finance and advanced mathematics.
- Experience, either through coursework or practical applications, in areas such as ChatGPT, AI, Machine Learning, Systematic Investments, Quantitative Finance, Econometrics, and/or Time Series Analysis.
- High level of personal initiative, proven ability to work independently, and a strong sense of accountability for tasks and projects.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all organizational levels.
