Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, etc.) or a related field (minimum sophomore year preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a curiosity for exploring new technologies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in engineering software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
• Aptitude with learning code development.
• A solid understanding of engineering principles and design methodologies is a plus.
• Prior lab experience (a plus).

Responsibilities

• Assist research and development engineers with various projects, from concept development to testing and analysis (may vary by project)
• Conduct research and analyze data to support the advancement of new technologies and product innovations
• Contribute to the design, development, and testing of prototypes (may vary by project)
• Document research findings and participate in technical presentations (may vary by project)
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to Marmon’s businesses
• Gain exposure to the entire research and development process within a leading manufacturing holding company
