Education & Qualifications Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degre in in policy, fisheries, public administration, law and international relations, anthropology, economics, or other fields related to food security and nutrition, policies and development studies.
- Full-Understanding of political sciences / agricultural economics / development economics / rural sociology, food security / sustainable agriculture.
- Academic background in the field of Climate / Environmental Science / Environmental Policy / Soil Science, or Environmental Engineering.
- Professional Background in public international relations.
- Full knowledge of the content of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs.
Work Experiences:
- Relevant experience in one or more areas in the field of fishery policy, governance, policy analysis, programme management, protocol and inter-governmental liaisons, small-scale fisheries, socio-economic development, decent rural employment and social protection, inland and marine fisheries value chains, economics and institutions or related fields and participatory processes and stakeholder engagement, preferably in NFIFL’s areas of work.
- Full work experience in analysis of information / data and statistics related to SDGs / sustainable development and agrifood systems transformation.
- A starter or some years of experience working in the field of European projects.
- An experience through an internship, working for a research, policy or technical stakeholder in the field of regional resilience would be a plus.
Languages:
- Fluency in English language is Required (both oral and written).
Key Responsibilities Career:
- Supporting undertake studies / through research, data collection, validation and analysis for the development of technical reports/publications.
- Promoting the image of FAO through advocacy of the Organization’s mandate, programmes, national priorities and activities including development and maintenance of communication tools
- Coordinating the collection, consolidation and maintenance of country data on food, crops, livestock, forestry and fisheries.
- Participating in the identification, formulation and preparation of programme and project proposals.
- Training and supervising lower grade level programme staff regarding all aspects of the job.
- Contributing for the organization of events aimed at fostering collaboration and shared learning in the context of climate resilience.
