Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (minimum of 12 credits completed within the last year). Priority will be given to students enrolled at one of the eight Idaho public universities or colleges (private Idaho institutions are not eligible).
  • Strong interest in nutrition education, healthy eating, and community outreach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to present information in a clear, engaging, and culturally sensitive manner.
  • Enthusiasm for teamwork and collaboration with Eat Smart Idaho staff and community partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver interactive nutrition education classes and workshops for youth and adults.
  • Assist with planning and implementing food resource management programs for food stamp recipients.
  • Promote Eat Smart Idaho programs through social media, community events, and print materials.
  • Participate in conducting program evaluations through surveys and data collection.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of educational materials related to healthy eating.
