English Teaching Program in Cambodia

Breaking the Poverty Cycle through English Education in Phnom Penh's Impoverished Communities

Summary:

This program aims to improve English-speaking abilities among impoverished residents of Phnom Penh. Access to native English-speaking teachers is often limited to children from affluent backgrounds, perpetuating the poverty cycle. Love Volunteers, in partnership with local agencies, seeks to change this by providing English teachers and classroom assistants. The project benefits over 1,000 children aged 6 to 12 in various schools. Through this initiative, the goal is to empower these children to break free from poverty. Volunteers, by sharing their English language skills and knowledge, make a direct, positive, and enduring impact on the lives of Cambodia’s underprivileged children.
