Join our Otter Conservation Volunteer Program in Florianopolis, Brazil, and contribute to the protection of otters and the preservation of biodiversity in this stunning island paradise. As an active participant, you will assist the dedicated staff in cleaning, feeding, and playing with otter orphans, while also exploring the breathtaking Atlantic Forest, dunes, and lakes through treks and canoeing. Requirements:

  • Age: 18 and above
  • Enthusiasm for wildlife conservation and environmental protection.
  • Physical fitness to participate in outdoor activities and fieldwork.
  • Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
  • Basic English language skills (preferred but not mandatory).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in cleaning, feeding, and playing with otter orphans.
  • Participate in treks, canoeing, and other activities to explore the Atlantic Forest and dunes.
  • Engage in fieldwork, including data collection and analysis.
  • Support social mobilization and environmental education initiatives.
  • Contribute to otter environmental enrichment through toy creation and interactive activities.
  • Interact with school children and assist in environmental education activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the animal refuge and visitor center.
