Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong academic performance with a focus on accounting coursework.
- Understanding of fundamental accounting principles and tax concepts (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist tax and audit professionals with various tasks, including data entry, information gathering, and preparation of working papers.
- Gain exposure to both tax and audit processes, including individual and corporate tax return preparation, financial statement review, and internal control testing (potential).
- Participate in client meetings and observe interaction with tax and audit clients (as applicable).
- Utilize accounting and tax software commonly used by Pinion (training provided).
