Live Productions (Summer 2024)

Summary:

Aspiring sports enthusiasts and media professionals, this is your chance to shine! Monumental Sports Network (Monumental) is seeking a driven and passionate individual for its Live Productions Internship (Summer 2024). Gain valuable hands-on experience in the dynamic world of live sports production, contributing to the high-quality broadcasts of the Washington Capitals, Wizards, and Mystics games. Working alongside seasoned professionals, you’ll gain real-world knowledge and skills while contributing to a fast-paced and exciting environment.

Qualifications:

• Current undergraduate or graduate student majoring/minoring in TV production, film, communications, or a related field. Recent graduates (within 6-9 months) may also be considered.
• Strong interest in learning what all is involved in producing a live game broadcast.
• Enthusiasm for sports is a plus.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). (Optional) Basic knowledge of video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Live Event Game Producer with various production tasks, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the entire broadcast workflow.
• Assist with camera operation, graphics playback, teleprompter operation, and other technical aspects of live productions (as assigned).
• Prepare production materials and conduct research as needed.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to company policies and procedures.
